ASDevices Delivers Advanced Hydrogen Testing Solution to SGS with Partner Antelia
ASDevices continues to lead the hydrogen market with another system delivered in Europe to SGS, the world’s leading hydrogen testing, inspection and certification company. Delivered by long-standing and trusted partner Antelia, this system is a great example of ASDevices’ industry capability.
ASDevices has been investing in hydrogen R&D for over 5 years, bringing the most advanced and robust solutions to market. Its technologies have been validated by independent metrology institutes and are now in use in both laboratory and manufacturing environments.
The system delivered to SGS is based on ASDevices’ patented EPD (Enhanced Plasma Discharge) technology, a simple solid-state detector suitable for measuring impurities in hydrogen. EPD has been proven and adopted by many global players because it offers the highest sensitivity to molecules such as sulfurs and CO, which are known to damage hydrogen fuel cells. It’s also a great alternative to the SCD (Sulfur Compound Detector) system because of EPD’s higher sensitivity, less frequent maintenance and greater ease of use, requiring only an inert carrier gas (as opposed to supporting gases for SCD).
This ASDevices system also uses the company’s proven PLSV valve technology, delivering longer life than traditional diaphragm and conical rotary valves. In addition, PLSV offers unique advantages for sulfur analysis, as the inert coating lasts much longer due to the reduced sealing force required to seal the rotor and stator.
These unique features make ASDevices the ideal choice for laboratory and process hydrogen analysis. Going forward, the company continues to invest in the market to deliver more systems to companies across North America, Europe and Asia. It’s also developing new partnerships with research institutes to develop analytical solutions for future hydrogen applications.
