The processes that use petrochemical products must be high quality. Since you can only control that which you can measure, the industry’s existing technologies were facing limitations, and it needed better-performing analytical instruments. We put our three decades of innovation in the field and our expertise in trace level measurement to good use, developing a host of new tools for the industry.

Our patented enhanced plasma discharge (Epd) sensing technology is one key example of this. Thanks to its unsurpassed sensitivity, it’s being used for sulfur analysis, replacing older technologies like flame photometric detector (FPD) and sulfur chemiluminescence detector (SCD). When combined with our unique purge leap sealing valve (PLSV) valve technology, which offers better performance for sulfur analysis, and our robust GC platform, we can provide everything you need to meet whatever challenge you’re facing.

A breakthrough for trace moisture analysis

Moisture is a key contaminant that needs to be measured accurately in many petrochemical products because even at trace level, it can have a huge impact on a petroleum product’s performance as well as the infrastructure used during the manufacturing. Our GC solution is targeted at replacing the Karl Fischer Titration (KFT) method which offers poor performance for low level moisture measurement as well as having known interference issues.

Based on our innovative patented enhanced plasma discharge (Epd) technology, our solution is very sensitive, while being selective to moisture. When compared to other solutions based on discharge ionization detectors (BID, DID, PDHID), our product costs less to run because it uses argon carrier gas instead of helium. Also, instead of it having a universal response, it’s selective, thereby offering lower limits of detection and no interference.
